How often have you heard a Democrat prattle on and on about how well Barack Obama has done with the economy, given the mess he inherited? Usually, it’s some version of, “Things are getting better, but the economy the President started with was so awful, so he’s done as well as anyone could expect.”

When Ronald Reagan took over from Jimmy Carter in ’81, things were actually worse economically compared to when Obama took over from George W. Bush in ’08.

Consider these three important comparisons of economic indicators, then and now:

– Unemployment was at 10.8% versus 7.7%

– Inflation (Consumer Price Index) was at 13.5% versus 2.7%

– Interest rates (prime rate) was at 21.5% versus 3.25%

In other words, Reagan inherited a bigger mess. Yet, there’s this chart of job growth:

Have you noticed, the Social Security check is now referred to as a “Federal Benefit Payment”?

 The government is now referring to our Social Security checks as a Federal Benefit Payment.

 This isn’t a benefit.  It is earned income!  Not only did we all contribute to Social Security, but our employers did too. It totaled 15% of our income before taxes.

If you averaged $30K per year over your working life, that’s close to $180,000 invested in Social Security.

If you calculate the future value of your monthly investment in social security ($375/month, including both yours and your

employers contributions) at a meager 1% interest rate compounded monthly, after 40 years of working you’d have more than $1.3+ million dollars saved!

This is your personal investment.  Upon retirement, if you took out only 3% per year, you’d receive $39,318 per year, or $3,277 per month

That’s almost three times more than today’s average Social Security benefit of $1,230 per month, according to the Social Security Administration

(Google it – it’s a fact).

And your retirement fund would last more than 33 years (until you’re 98 if you retire at age 65)!  I can only imagine how much better most average-income people could live in retirement if our government had just invested our money in low-risk interest-earning accounts.

 Instead, the folks in Washington pulled off a bigger Ponzi scheme than Bernie Madoff ever did.

 They took our money and used it elsewhere.

 They forgot (knew) that it was OUR money they were taking.

 They didn’t have a referendum to ask us if we wanted to lend the money to them.

 But is it our fault they misused our investments?

 And now, to add insult to injury, they’re calling it a benefit, as if we never worked to earn every penny of it.

 Just because they borrowed the money, doesn’t mean that our investments were a charity!

 Let’s take a stand.

 We have earned our right to Social Security and Medicare.

 Demand that our legislators bring some sense into our government.

 Find a way to keep Social Security and Medicare going, for the sake of that 92% of our population who need it.

 *Then call it what it is: Our Earned Retirement Income.*

Adding insult to injury, keep in mind, Barack and Michelle Obama (I have to include Michelle, because the company that got the $600,000,000 contract had her college friend as a major officer of the company), just wasted $600,000,000 on a computer system that didn’t work.  It still seems to have problems, but they tell us that it is “fixed.”  How many additional millions did they give their incompetent friends to “fix” the system?

$600,000,000 for a computer system that does not work!!  Presumably, this

computer system was going to keep you healthy!  Please realize that money could

have put $2,000,000 into the pockets of every American! That’s right!  In the family

of 4, Papa could have bought a lifetime worth of insurance for the entire family, and

still had $6,000,000 in the bank for college for the kids, a nice family vacation and

a nest egg for future opportunities and or emergencies! Yes sir!  A crummy computer

expensive health care system that most Americans don’t want!!!

Doesn’t it make you wonder where all that money went???  We would all like to

know!  We know, two students put together a similar, but functional Health Care

Computer System at little or no cost to anyone.  Many computer experts also claim

they are able to put together the functionally working system for around $1,000,000

with an additional $10 to 50 million with all of the necessary add-ons!  At worst,

the most ObamaScare’s computer system should have cost is $51,000,000.  If

they really had to spend the rest of the $600,000,000 they could have sent it to

the legal citizens of the United States!!

By the way, did you know one of the main people of the Canadian company that

got the contract to set up a non-functioning system is a college friend of Michelle

Obama!

Like you, I have no idea how they could have spent so much money on a

program that should have only cost 8% of the $600,000,000 Obama spent!  Yet, if

we had a legitimate press someone would have dug up how that suspicious

company doled out it’s largess of $600,000,0000!  Did some go to George Soros to

continue funding his leftist groups and causes? Did a chunk of it end up in the

Obama Secret Bank accounts in the Caribbean and Switzerland??  Of course, to head

off a congressional investigation, quite possibly speaker of the House Bohner and

some other Key republicans and democrats must have been paid off as well???

If they weren’t flying planes into the World Trade Center , the Pentagon or a field in Pennsylvania killing nearly 3,000 people on our own soil, they were rejoicing in the Middle East . No one can dispute the pictures shown from all parts of the Muslim world celebrating on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC and other cable news networks that day. To many Americans, their silence has meant approval for the acts of that day. The average for the states is 197 days to pay for the government gone wild. Some of us go longer up to August 9th with Connecticut being the worst. NY and NJ are next, going to August 5th.

Time to move to Tennessee, Mississippi, or South Dakota!

Take a look at regulations in this breakdown –

• The average American worker will have to labor 87.82 days just to pay for federal spending.
• The average American worked 44.62 days worked to pay for federal regulations and 24.75 days worked to pay for state and local regulations for a grand total of 69 days just to have the government rule over us and regulate us. But the government thinks we need MORE regulations.
• The average American worked 40.04 days worked to pay for state and local spending.

“From a different perspective, the cost of government makes up 54.0 percent of annual gross domestic product (GDP),” reads the report. “What’s more, the largest tax hike in the nation’s history is scheduled to take place at the end of 2012 unless Congress acts to protect taxpayers. If this tax increase is allowed to hit, COGD [Cost of Government Day] could permanently be pushed back into August and beyond.”

Then there are the rising, unsustainable costs of “free” medical care.

Soon, we will work only for the government and will need their handouts to survive. We are on the road to serfdom when the government has more of our pay than we do.
