Why would the Senate reject something as evident as the concept that we shouldn’t let maniacs, criminals, or those who have been named in orders of protection buy guns? Why would they vote to maintain the artificial distinction between guns sold in stores and those sold in shows when they are equally likely to kill or maim?
Is President Obama correct when he blames lies from the National Rifle Association (NRA) for the rejection? No. The president has only himself to blame.
The fact is that while the overwhelming majority of the public approves of the narrow terms of the bill — to expand background checks to gun shows — the president has so poisoned the atmosphere in our nation’s politics that we don’t trust the government and we don’t trust the president.
The president was amazed that people did not read the plain language in the bill which bans using the background check information to amass a registry of gun owners. But he’s wrong. They read it. They just didn’t believe it.
Like they didn’t believe that the requirement that only fiscal bills could pass with a bare majority would stop Obama from passing the health care bill with only a majority.
Like they didn’t believe that the ban on recess appointments when Congress was not in recess would stop Obama from naming National Labor Relations Board members without Senate confirmation while the Senate was not in recess.
Like they didn’t believe that the president wouldn’t allocate to himself the executive authority to pass the DREAM Act after it was rejected by Congress.
Like they didn’t believe that the feds would try to name ministers in churches, and so forth and so on.
You can’t abuse the public’s trust as much as this president has and then cry when they don’t trust you.

http://www.JewishWorldReview.com | More than 500 people were murdered in Chicago last year. Yet Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel still found time to berate the fast food franchise Chick-fil-A for not sharing “Chicago values” — apparently because its founder does not approve of gay marriage.
Two states have legalized marijuana, with more to come. Yet social taboos against tobacco smoking make it nearly impossible to light up a cigarette in public places. Marijuana, like alcohol, causes far greater short-term impairment than does nicotine. But legal cigarette smoking is now seen as a corporate-sponsored, uncool and dirty habit that leads to long-term health costs for society at large — in a way homegrown, hip and mostly illegal pot smoking apparently does not.
Graphic language, nudity and sex are now commonplace in movies and on cable television. At the same time, there is now almost no tolerance for casual and slang banter in the media or the workplace. A boss who calls an employee “honey” might face accusations of fostering a hostile work environment, yet a television producer whose program shows an 18-year-old having sex does not. Many colleges offer courses on lurid themes from masturbation to prostitution, even as campus sexual-harassment suits over hurtful language are at an all-time high.
A federal judge in New York recently ruled that the so-called morning-after birth control pill must be made available to all “women” regardless of age or parental consent, and without a prescription. The judge determined that it was unfair for those under 16 to be denied access to such emergency contraceptives. But if vast numbers of girls younger than 16 need after-sex options to prevent unwanted pregnancies, will there be a flood of statutory rape charges lodged against older teenagers who had such consensual relations with younger girls?
Our schizophrenic morality also affects the military. When America was a far more traditional society, few seemed to care that Gen. Dwight Eisenhower carried on an unusual relationship at the front in Normandy with his young female chauffeur, Kay Summersby. As the Third Army chased the Germans across France, Gen. George S. Patton was not discreet about his female liaisons. Contrast that live-and-let-live attitude of a supposedly uptight society with our own hip culture’s tabloid interest in Gen. David Petraeus’ career-ending affair with Paula Broadwell, or in the private emails of Gen. John Allen.
What explains these contradictions in our wide-open but prudish society?
Decades after the rise of feminism, popular culture still seems confused by it. If women should be able to approach sexuality like men, does it follow that commentary about sex should follow the same gender-neutral rules? Yet wearing provocative or inappropriate clothing is often considered less offensive than remarking upon it. Calling a near-nude Madonna onstage a “hussy” or “tart” would be considered crudity in a way that her mock crucifixion and simulated sex acts are not.
Criminal sexual activity is sometimes not as professionally injurious as politically incorrect thoughts about sex and gender. Former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer — found to have hired prostitutes on a number of occasions during his time in office — was given a CNN news show despite the scandal. But when former Miss California Carrie Prejean was asked in the Miss USA Pageant whether she endorsed gay marriage, she said no — and thereby earned nearly as much popular condemnation for her candid defense of traditional marriage as Spitzer had for his purchased affairs.
Critics were outraged that talk-show host Rush Limbaugh grossly insulted birth-control activist Sandra Fluke. Amid the attention, Fluke was canonized for her position that federal health-care plans should pay for the contraceptive costs of all women.
Yet in comparison to Fluke’s well-publicized victimhood, there has been a veritable news blackout for the trial of the macabre Dr. Kermit Gosnell, charged with killing and mutilating in gruesome fashion seven babies during a long career of conducting sometimes illegal late-term abortions. Had Gosnell’s aborted victims been canines instead of humans — compare the minimal coverage of the Gosnell trial with the widespread media condemnation of dog-killing quarterback Michael Vick — perhaps the doctor’s mayhem likewise would have been front-page news outside of Philadelphia.
Modern society also resorts to empty, symbolic moral action when it cannot deal with real problems. So-called assault weapons account for less than 1 percent of gun deaths in America. But the country whips itself into a frenzy to ban them, apparently to prove that at least it can do something — without wading into the polarized racial and class controversies of going after illegal urban handguns, the real source of the nation’s high gun-related body count.
Not since the late-19th-century juxtaposition of the Wild West with the Victorian East has popular morality been so unbridled and yet so uptight.
In short, we have become a nation of promiscuous prudes.
We all know Barack Obama is a narcissist. He is a petty wannabe tyrant who cares for nothing other than himself.
Now the Obama Regime has done something that should appall everyone. If the drive by media were not so partisan and nothing more than the Obama Propaganda Media, this is a story that would lead every newscast. PROPAGANDA IS SUPPOSED TO HAVE SOME SEMBLANCE OF TRUTH, BUT OUR MEDIA GIVES OUTRIGHT LIES TO PROTECT THEIR FAVORITE NARCISSIST!
This is an outrageous story that every American should hear about. This is one story you will want to share with your friends.
What is it?Barack Obama has been using the Sequester to inflict as much pain on the American people as he can. The Sequester is simply a reduction in the increase in spending. It is not even a real reduction in spending.DID YOU GET THAT? IF WE HAD ENOUGH MONEY TO TAKE CARE OF EVERYTHING LAST YEAR, AND WE ARE GOING TO SPEND MORE THIS YEAR, WHY DOES ANYONE NEED TO FEEL ANY PAIN? If you knew how the clowns in Washington wastefully spend your money, you would want to revolt!
While the White House is being closed to public tours and the National Parks are being forced to cut back, Obama’s travel schedule is not being cut back at all. This week, his daughters went on not one vacation but two. They went to the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas first and then to the ski slopes in Idaho. (Wow! Being an Obama family member must be great!)Joe Biden is off on his third vacation of the year. Obama has managed three vacations so far this year and that was before we even finished out the third month of the year. While Obama was busy jetting off at the taxpayers expense, a tragedy was unfolding. You’ve probably never heard of Michael Dishon. Master Sergeant Dishon served this nation quietly and honorably for 20 years. Like countless real Americans he served this nation and never asked for distinction or rewards.Dishon has chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and a very aggressive form of cancer. His diseases are 100% service related. Sergeant Dishon was being treated at Lansdorf Regional Medical Center in Germany. He was medevaced to Walter Reed in Washington. His condition deteriorated to the point where he is going to hospice care to die.Under ordinary circumstances, Dishon would have qualified for military transport so he could return home to die. Dishon was informed that because of the budget sequester no transport was available.Fortunately some real Americans stepped in and a hero flight was arranged. An American hero named Mike Summey flew his own plane, at his own expense to get Dishon home.
Barack Obama can spend a million dollars to fly down to Florida to play golf with Tiger Woods but he cuts flights that bring American heroes home. This week, Obama’s children are partying at a cost of hundreds of thousands of dollars, while an American volunteer at his own expense brought an American hero home.
Thanks to the efforts of Mike Summey, Master Sergeant Michael Dishon will get to spend his final days here in America with his two daughters.
Meanwhile, America’s narcissist in chief makes sure that the royal lifestyle he and his family have become accustomed to is not interrupted.
What is wrong with the word picture above and the story below?
Kim Jung Un
Kim Jung Un had NO military experience whatsoever before Daddy made him a four-star general.
This snot-nosed twerp had never accomplished anything in his life that would even come close to military leadership.
He hadn’t even so much as led a Cub Scout troop, coached a sports team, or commanded a military platoon.
So he is made the “Beloved Leader” Of North Korea .
I just remembered that we did the same thing.
We took an arrogant bastard community organizer, who had never worn a uniform, and made him Commander-in-Chief.
A guy, who had never had a real job, worked on a budget, or led anything more than an ACORN demonstration, and we made him “Beloved Leader” of the United States
I’m sorry I brought this up.

3. Phyllis Schlafly: Karl Rove Gave Us ‘Bunch of Losers’
Conservative activist and author Phyllis Schlafly says the Republican Party has too often been dominated by the “establishment” instead of by the real conservative “grass-rooters” — thereby producing a “bunch of losers.”
Schlafly, 88, is the founder of the pro-family Eagle Forum whose latest book is “No Higher Power: Obama’s War on Religion.”
She sat down for an interview with Breitbart contributor Warner Todd Huston that was posted on the wizbangblog website.
Schlafly, who has attended GOP presidential conventions for decades, said she has witnessed first-hand the fight between the Republican establishment, with “the series of losers they have given us like Thomas Dewey, and the grass-rooters who wanted their own candidate.”
Ronald Reagan was the “best president of the 20th century,” she opined, but after his two terms “we lost the party again to the establishment, and they’ve given us a bunch of losers — Bob Dole, John McCain, and then Mitt Romney.”
Alluding to the infighting between Karl Rove and the tea party, Schlafly said “now we have the same battle again. It’s the establishment against the grass-rooters. The establishment likes a certain type of person who calls himself a moderate, will do what he’s told, vote the way he’s told, and not talk about certain issues. They don’t want him to talk about the social or the moral issues. They don’t even want him to talk about the national defense issues. Which is all a terrible mistake because that’s where all the money is.”
She went on: “The establishment’s voice seems to be Karl Rove, and they just gave us a bunch of losers. Rove had at least $300 million to spend on campaigns. And he only won, I think, nine of 31 races where he ran ads. A dismal result.”
4. Need for Less-Skilled Immigrants ‘Not Supported by Data’
A new report from the Center for Immigration Studies refutes claims that the United States should welcome greater numbers of less-educated immigrants to compensate for a shortage of Americans available for low-wage jobs.
Eight U.S. senators have proposed an immigration reform plan that includes increasing legal immigration in the future, and one member of the group, Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., has said there is “a shortage of labor” in the country. “The visas we have available just are not enough,” he told a South Carolina newspaper.
Also, labor and business leaders working with the group — known as the Gang of Eight — are promoting a program to bring in more immigrants to fill what they called in a joint statement “lesser-skilled jobs.”
But the center asserts that “the idea that there is a general labor shortage in the United States or a shortage of workers to fill lower-wage jobs that require modest levels of education is not supported by the data.”
The eight senators from seven states are Democrats Chuck Schumer of New York, Robert Menendez of New Jersey, Michael Bennet of Colorado, and Dick Durbin of Illinois, and Republicans Marco Rubio of Florida, John McCain and Jeff Flake of Arizona, and Graham.
According to the center, the unemployment rate in 2012 for less-educated American citizens — those with no more than a high school education — averaged 11.3 percent over the year. And the broader U-6 unemployment rate, which also includes those who are out of work but have not looked for employment recently or are involuntarily working only part-time, was 19.9 percent.
“Perhaps even more striking, the employment situations in the states represented by the Gang of Eight are among the worse in the country,” according to Director of Research Steven A. Camarota and demographer Karen Zeigler at the Center for Immigration Studies.
Unemployment among less-educated people in those states averaged 12.6 percent, compared to 10.2 percent in the other 43 states. The U-6 rate in the seven states averaged 21.7 percent, compared to 18.3 percent in the other states.
“The employment figures do not support the idea that there is a shortage of workers in the United States generally, nor do they support the idea that there is a shortage of less-skilled workers,” the authors state.
They point to an “enormous pool of potential workers,” noting that last year there were 54.6 million Americans ages 18 to 65 who were not working, including 27.6 million less-educated citizens.
The authors conclude: “If through enforcement a significant fraction of illegal immigrants returned to their home countries, there would seem to be an ample supply of idle workers to replace them.
“Of course, employers might have to pay more and offer better benefits and working conditions in order to attract and retain American citizens. But improving the employment prospects and wages of the least-educated and poorest American workers can be seen as a desirable.”
5. Study: Red States Are the Most Free
A surprising new study measuring economic and personal freedom finds that conservative red states are freer than more liberal blue states — and attracting more new residents.
George Mason University’s Mercatus Center conducted the study, Freedom in the 50 States, calculating rankings according to a wide range of factors.
“We score all 50 states on over 200 policies encompassing fiscal policy, regulatory policy, and personal freedom,” the center explained.
“We weight public policies according to the estimated costs that government restrictions on freedom impose on their victims.”
Fiscal policy includes tax burden, government employment, government spending, government debt, and fiscal decentralization.
Regulatory policy includes freedom from tort abuse, property rights protection, labor market freedom, health insurance freedom, and several other factors.
The personal freedom category focuses on victimless crime freedom, gun control freedom, civil liberties, and freedom relating to a variety of topics including tobacco, alcohol, marriage, and gambling.
The overall freedom ranking was determined by combining scores for the three major categories.
The five states with the highest ranking for freedom are, in order, North Dakota, South Dakota, Tennessee, New Hampshire, and Oklahoma. Only New Hampshire voted for President Obama in the 2012 election.
The state with the lowest ranking for freedom is New York, followed by California, New Jersey, Hawaii, and Rhode Island. All five states voted for Obama in 2012.
Alaska scored the highest for personal freedom, South Dakota for economic freedom, Indiana for regulatory freedom, Texas for labor market freedom, and Nevada for civil liberties. California scored lowest in three of those categories.
The study also compared its freedom rankings to population shifts and income growth, and found that the freer states performed better on both fronts than did less-free states.
It found a strong correlation between freedom and migration, “which means that Americans are gravitating toward states that have less-intrusive governments,” Investor’s Business Daily (IBD) points out in an article about the study.
William Ruger, a political scientist at Texas State University and a co-author of the study, said: “People are voting for places with greater freedom,” adding that “if you have economic freedom you will have economic growth.”
IBD observes that the study’s findings “call into question” assertions Obama made during the 2012 campaign that tax cuts and deregulation won’t produce growth and prosperity.
“It doesn’t work,” he said. “It has never worked.” ANOTHER OBAMA LIE!
IBD concludes: “If anything, the data show precisely the opposite.”

The Marxists Are Hoping We Are NOT Paying Attention…
In a masterful article on the Supreme Court and Sodomite “marriage” writer Gary DeMar recounts-
The Supreme Court Has Already Ruled on Homosexual Marriage[Excerpt.]
In the nineteenth century, the courts agreed that it was necessary for the State to acknowledge the biblical requirement of monogamy over against polygamy (many wives). Marriage is by definition a union of one man and one woman.
The courts justified their rulings because of moral absolutes found in the Christian religion. What was true of polygamy was equally true of homosexuality since homosexuality was illegal in all the states, including the Mormon-populated state of Utah. The arguments against polygamy applied to homosexuality with little or no debate…
…In The Late Corporation of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Sa… (1890), the court determined that “[t]he organization of a community for the spread and practice of polygamy is, in a measure, a return to barbarism. It is contrary to the spirit of Christianity and of the civilization which Christianity had produced in the Western world.”…
…In Davis v. Beason (1890) the Supreme Court came to a similar conclusion using a religious argument:
“Bigamy and polygamy are crimes by the laws of all civilized and Christian countries. They are crimes by the laws of the United States, and they are crimes by the laws of Idaho. They tend to destroy the purity of the marriage relation, to disturb the peace of families, to degrade woman, and to debase man. Few crimes are more pernicious to the best interests of society, and receive more general or more deserved punishment. To extend exemption from punishment for such crimes would be to shock the moral judgment of the community. To call their advocacy a tenet of religion is to offend the common sense of mankind.”…There has been an almost universal prohibition of homosexuality, condemned by both church and State for thousands of years. “When the first great book on the English Legal system was written — [William] Blackstone’s Commentaries on the Laws of England — its author referred to sodomy as ‘the infamous crime against nature, committed either with man or beast . . . the very mention of which is a disgrace to human nature.’”……The legal door will be open for the next minority group to argue for their marriage rights. Don’t be surprised if NAMBLA (The North American Man/Boy Love Association) becomes more public with its claim that sex with children is just as valid as same-sex sex and multiple marriage partners.Source-++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
At a General Court Martial whereof Colo. Tupper was President (10th March 1778), Lieutt. Enslin of Colo. Malcom’s Regiment [was] tried for attempting to commit sodomy, with John Monhort a soldier; Secondly, For Perjury in swearing to false accounts, [he was] found guilty of the charges exhibited against him, being breaches of 5th. Article 18th. Section of the Articles of War and [we] do sentence him to be dismiss’d [from] the service with infamy. His Excellency the Commander in Chief approves the sentence and with abhorrence and detestation of such infamous crimes orders Lieutt. Enslin to be drummed out of camp tomorrow morning by all the drummers and fifers in the Army never to return; The drummers and fifers [are] to attend on the Grand Parade at Guard mounting for that Purpose. 1
General Washington held a clear understanding of the rules for order and discipline, and as the original Commander-in-Chief, he was the first not only to forbid, but even to punish, homosexuals in the military.
George Washington, The Continental Congress and Noah Webster added-
An edict issued by the Continental Congress communicates the moral tone which lay at the base of Washington’s actions:
The Commanders of . . . the thirteen United Colonies are strictly required to show in themselves a good example of honor and virtue to their officers and men and to be very vigilant in inspecting the behavior of all such as are under them, and to discountenance and suppress all dissolute, immoral, and disorderly practices, and also such as are contrary to the rules of discipline and obedience, and to correct those who are guilty of the same. 2
Noah Webster–a soldier during the Revolution and the author of the first American dictionary –defined the terms “dissolute” and “immoral” used by Congress:
Dissolute: Loose in behavior and morals; given to vice and dissipation; wanton; lewd; debauched; not under the restraints of law; as a dissolute man: dissolute company.
Immoral: Inconsistent with moral rectitude; contrary to the moral or Divine law. . . . Every action is immoral which contravenes any Divine precept or which is contrary to the duties which men owe to each other. 3
Because of the nature of the crime, the penalties for the act of sodomy were often severe. For example, Thomas Jefferson indicated that in his home state of Virginia, “dismemberment” of the offensive organ was the penalty for sodomy. 7 In fact, Jefferson himself authored a bill penalizing sodomy by castration. 8 The laws of the other states showed similar or even more severe penalties:
That the detestable and abominable vice of buggery [sodomy] . . . shall be from henceforth adjudged felony . . . and that every person being thereof convicted by verdict, confession, or outlawry [unlawful flight to avoid prosecution], shall be hanged by the neck until he or she shall be dead. 9 NEW YORK
That if any man shall lie with mankind as he lieth with womankind, both of them have committed abomination; they both shall be put to death. 10 CONNECTICUT
Sodomy . . . shall be punished by imprisonment at hard labour in the penitentiary during the natural life or lives of the person or persons convicted of th[is] detestable crime. 11 GEORGIA
That if any man shall commit the crime against nature with a man or male child . . . every such offender, being duly convicted thereof in the Supreme Judicial Court, shall be punished by solitary imprisonment for such term not exceeding one year and by confinement afterwards to hard labor for such term not exceeding ten years. 12 MAINE
That if any person or persons shall commit sodomy . . . he or they so offending or committing any of the said crimes within this province, their counsellors, aiders, comforters, and abettors, being convicted thereof as above said, shall suffer as felons. 13 [And] shall forfeit to the Commonwealth all and singular the lands and tenements, goods and chattels, whereof he or she was seized or possessed at the time . . . at the discretion of the court passing the sentence, not exceeding ten years, in the public gaol or house of correction of the county or city in which the offence shall have been committed and be kept at such labor. 14 PENNSYLVANIA
[T]he detestable and abominable vice of buggery [sodomy] . . . be from henceforth adjudged felony . . . and that the offenders being hereof convicted by verdict, confession, or outlawry [unlawful flight to avoid prosecution], shall suffer such pains of death and losses and penalties of their goods. 15 SOUTH CAROLINA
That if any man lieth with mankind as he lieth with a woman, they both shall suffer death. 16 VERMONT
If today’s Marxist leaning Supreme Court in any way legalizes or legitimizes sodomite/homosexual/lesbian “marriage” they will be in breach of God, God’s Word, The Laws of EVERY civilization in history (before decline sat in), “Blackstone’s Commentaries on the law of England”, Edmund Burke, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Noah Webster, EVERY State in the union (up til our decline began in 1912), and EVERY previous Supreme Court decision.
In short, America will be on the swift downward decline of Ancient Rome.
