Imagine you hire a company to fix your roof. They proceed to do shoddy work, miss every promised deadline and go wildly over budget. Would you then hire them to add a new room to your house?
No, of course not. But that is exactly what President Obama is asking the American people to do in his latest television ad.
“If I could sit down with you in your living room or around the kitchen table,” Obama says directly into the camera, “here’s what I’d say.” He then goes on to outline a new “economic patriotism,” built on four new campaign promises plausible only to someone with amnesia.
First, Obama promises to “create a million new manufacturing jobs” by giving “tax breaks to companies that invest in America.” Never mind that the last time he was asking Americans for their votes, he promised he would create 5 million jobs in his first four years in office. Instead, he’s lost 261,000. And the most recent jobs report showed the U.S. economy lost 15,000 manufacturing jobs last month. So he’s already going in the wrong direction.
Second, Obama promises to “cut our oil imports in half and produce more American-made energy.” This is the same Obama who killed the Keystone pipeline, increasing U.S. reliance on Saudi Arabian oil. His Environmental Protection Agency has proposed a slew of new regulations that would shut down hundreds of coal power plants nationwide. As a result of these policies, Obama is set to fulfill one promise he made in 2008: Electricity prices will “skyrocket” if he is re-elected.
Third, Obama promises to prepare “100,000 additional math and science teachers” and “cut the growth of tuition in half.” Never mind that federal spending on K-12 education has almost tripled since 1970, while student achievement has flatlined. Or that the growth in the cost of college tuition has only accelerated in Obama’s first term, or that studies show federal subsidies only drive college tuition prices higher.
Finally, Obama promises to “reduce our deficit by $4 trillion over the next decade, on top of the trillion in spending we’ve already cut.” Never mind that multiple fact checkers, including most recently McClatchy News Service, have debunked Obama’s claims that he’s cut spending. And never mind that Maya MacGuineas, president of the bipartisan Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, has called Obama’s debt plan a “gimmick.” Or that the actual budget that Obama submitted to Congress adds $4 trillion to the debt in just the next four years.
When pressed to explain his failed promises, Obama is always quick with a litany of excuses and other people to blame: tsunamis in Japan, debt crises in Europe, Republicans in Congress, instability in the Middle East, droughts in the Midwest, etc., etc. Some of these excuses have merit. Most don’t.
But nobody forced Obama to make any of these promises. The world is just as unpredictable today as it was four years ago. At some point, the American people have to ask how they can trust Obama to follow through on a second round of promises when he failed so terribly to make good on his first.

Bain Capital also worked to perform the same kinds of business miracles again and again, with companies like Domino’s, Sealy, Brookstone, Weather Channel, Burger King, Warner Music Group, Dollarama, Home Depot Supply, and many others.
He was an unpaid volunteer campaign worker for his dad’s gubernatorial campaign 1 year.
He was an unpaid intern in his dad’s governor’s office for eight years.
He was an unpaid bishop and state president of his church for ten years.
He was an unpaid President of the Salt Lake Olympic Committee for three years.
He took no salary and was the unpaid Governor of Massachusetts for four years.

Mitt Romney is one of the wealthiest self-made men in our country but has given more back to its citizens in terms of money, service and time than most men.
And in 2011 Mitt Romney gave over $4 million to charity, almost 19% of his income…. Just for comparison purposes, Obama gave 1% and Joe Biden gave $300 or .0013%.
Mitt Romney is Trustworthy:
He will show us his birth certificate
He will show us his high school and college transcripts.
He will show us his social security card.
He will show us his law degree.
He will show us his draft notice.
He will show us his medical records.
He will show us his income tax records.
He will show us he has nothing to hide.
Mitt Romney’s background, experience and trustworthiness show him to be a great leader and an excellent citizen for President of the United States .
You may think that Romney may not be the best representative the Republicans could have selected. At least I know what religion he is, and that he won’t desecrate the flag, bow down to foreign powers, or practice fiscal irresponsibility.
I know he has the ability to turn around this financial debacle that the current regime has gotten us into. We won’t like all the things necessary to recover from this debt, but someone with Romney’s background can do it.
But, on the minus side, He never was a “Community Organizer”, never took drugs or smoked pot, never got drunk, did not associate with communists or terrorists, nor did he attend a church whose pastor called for God to damn the US.
You should know the difference between the men running for America ‘s top office.
Barack Hussein Obama:
Was born in either Hawaii or Kenya. While growing up admitted that he only liked playing basketball and taking drugs!
For much of his youth he was educated in Indonesia. The Madrassas (Muslim schools) spend most of the time learning The Koran, not necessarily “readin, writin, rithmatic.”
We do not know what kind of marks he received in school or Occidental College, because those records are sealed.
However, he admits to being a very bad student, so we can wonder how he got into Columbia University-somehow he did. Was it because he was a foreign student, thus a plus for Columbia to give him a “free ride?” Or maybe it was his smooth tongue! I don’t recall what he said about his Columbia grades, but I assume they were good enough to get him into Harvard Law School. Again, we cannot know what kind of student he was because all of his records are sealed! He did have a great gift of gab, however, and somehow talked his way into running the Harvard Law School paper.He spent much of his early working career as a “Community Organizer.” It appears that kind of work is to organize protests and generally be a “rabble-rouser.” There is no history of him ever running any type of organization or being in business. He spent an uneventful 7 years in the Illinois Senate, where most of his votes were “to abstain” from voting.
He somehow got hold of the sealed divorce records of his opponent when running for the US Senate. The media and his anchor Dave Axelrod, made a big splash of the information in the divorce record. Much of it blow way out of proportion and out of context. BHO walked into the US Senate!
He spent 2 years in the US Senate, much of that time on the road running for President! He did show up for a few votes, including a vote to insure “infanticide” would continue.
His first 2 years as President, he had full control of the Senate and The House of Representatives. Instead of fixing the bad economy he inherited, he spent that gift jamming a Health Care bill down the throats of the American people! Even though he had a veto proof Senate, he found he had to buy off many of the Senators and Congresspeople from his own party to get his “Albatross” of a 2,700 page Health Bill that will cost many time the $1,000,000,000,000 he claims it will cost.
He is now running for re-election. His slogan is the worn out slogan of the discarded and ineffective Communist Movement, “FORWARD.” He may not be a communist, but he certainly put together a socialized health care system in his 2,700 page bill. His take over of General Motors and many other aspects of the American business scene sure looks like a socialist!
It appears he not only lacks experience in running a government, but he also appears to be ignorant of history. Socialism is the reason the USSR fell apart. Socialism is the cause for the economic troubles in Greece, Italy, Spain, as well as weakening most of the rest of Europe. His attempts to install socialism in the USA will likewise cause the US economy to fail.
This blog could go on for hours more, but let me just remind you of one more think: He claims to be focused on getting jobs for the American people. However, he spends a few $trillion dollars supposedly to start Americans working again. However, many of those jobs went to China and Finland. Instead of embracing the Keystone Pipeline that would have created 10’s of 1,000’s of jobs, he cancelled it. Instead of continuing our drilling for oil in The Gulf of Mexico, he sent the rigs down to Brazil with 4 billion taxpayer dollars to drill there, saying, “The USA will be your best customer!” He also wasted money on companies that had no viable means of succeeding. Solyndra is on of many examples-they and may of the other Solar companies all went bankrupt.
Again, he failed to learn from history. President Roosevelt did the same thing after he was elected to end the Depression. His Secretary of the Treasury Henry Morgenthau Jr said, after five years in office, that , “with all the money we spent, we have nothing to show for it.” It was not government spending that ended the Depression, it was World War II. Does that mean we will have to have a war to get out of our economic woes? I hope not! A better way would be to get Mr Obama out of the way and let Mitt Romney have two (2) years with a veto proof Senate and control of The House of Representatives. If he can’t fix the problems facing us with such a similar gift as Obama had, then all we have left is PRAYER!
